Pharmacogenomics (PGx), the study of how one’s genes may affect an individual’s response to medication, has reached the translational stage for various specialties in medicine. This certificate program provides the background, resources and practical application examples to implement pharmacogenomics and make a difference in patient lives.

$295 per person if registered for the IM Conference and $345 if attending only the PGx Certificate Course

Genetic and Genomic Results in Clinical Practice: Managing Uncertainty and Maximizing Patient Benefit

Clinical genetic and genomic testing is becoming increasingly informative for determining the diagnosis, prognosis, disease risk, and optimal therapeutic strategies for patients.

Clinical Application of NGS Testing

Sunday, October 8th, 2017 3:30 – 5:30 p.m.

This session will highlight the use of specialized testing (including NGS) in the diagnosis and/or treatment of patients with brain tumors and hematologic malignancies. Case presentations will include discussion by both laboratory and clinical experts.

Post-Conference Sessions

Wednesday, October 11, 2017 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Attendees select one of the following:

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your participation in this course, your registration fee, less a $75 administrative fee, will be refunded when written notification is received by the Mayo Clinic Center for Individualized Medicine (, by September 1st, 2017. No refunds will be made on or after September 1st, 2017.
